It’s Wednesday, and there’s a trend going on Twitter these days that focuses on Wisconsin Beers each Wednesday. To that end, I figured I’d grab a couple IPAs from Wisconsin-based brewers and contribute to the conversation, while also completing a duel.
For this one I chose Octopi’s HopRocket and Karben4’s Fantasy Factory. Each of these beers have been featured on the site before and fared well in previous duels. So this duel presents a couple beers trending in the right direction. How will they fare against one another? Let’s find out.

Karben4 Fantasy Factory is one of my favorite beers. Starting with their hall of fame worthy label that always draws me in for a closer look (who can resist gun-toting cats riding unicorns?!), onto the excellent flavor blend in it’s profile, it’s easy to see why this beer is so popular. Another reviewer may have chosen it for every category.
This really says something about how much I enjoy Octopi’s HopRocket. The aroma is pure hops mixed with citrus and it fills your nostrils with joy. The color is a hazy orangish-yellow, the taste is fresh fruit along with a hint of creaminess and just the right amount of bitterness in the finish. It’s going to be hard to not crack open another one of these right now.
