To me, Coors Banquet is one of the more underrated Adjunct beers out there. It’s mass produced, it’s sold almost everywhere, and it’s pretty damn good, in my opinion.
So this duel puts an icon of the beer community up against a powerhouse craft brewer in Deschutes Brewery’s Da Shootz Lager. Deschutes isn’t exactly a small brewer, they’ve been around for decades, proudly serving the Pacific Northwest with quality beer. So our stage is set, let’s see how this one plays out.

No surprises here as Deschutes Da Shootz Lager rolls the Coors Banquet in all of the categories your taste buds care about. A well crafted beer, designed to “keep on keeping on,” the Da Shootz is refreshing and smooth but with enough flavor to not sit back and idly watch the duel go by.
That stubby bottle, and classic label has done wonders for the Coors Banquet. Even against strong competition in the label category it stands firm and takes home the victory there. But there was too much competing flavor for the Banquet in this one.
