A cat holding a gun, riding a fire-breathing unicorn in space. If you haven’t seen the label artwork on Karben4’s Fantasy Factory IPA, take a gander at the featured image in this post. It’s a visual delight, and has always made for an easy point of purchase decision for this beer.
Up against the Fantasy Factory, we have Deschutes’ Fresh Squeezed IPA. I haven’t tried this before, but Deschutes Brewery is a very well known and respected brewer so I’m curious to see how things play out here.

Tell us about it
This was a great duel. Each came away with a couple categories and both are solid contenders in the IPA group. The Fresh Squeezed IPA’s aroma worked a little better with my senses and it’s finish was a bit smoother. The Karben4 Fantasy Factory is a textbook IPA, strong hop flavor, with a palatable, but bitter aftertaste. In the end, they were close enough in drinking experience that the label artwork actually won the day.
