One of the things I love most about New Glarus’ beer is they’re made and sold only in Wisconsin. There’s something wonderfully local about that business model and I don’t think you’ll find with many other companies. So when I grabbed a pack of Cabin Fever Honey Bock, I was really looking forward to dueling it with other popular Bocks to see how it fared
The opponent I settled on for this duel is Shiner Bock. As their bottle proudly states, every drop of Shiner is brewed in Shiner, TX. The local pride from each of these brewers is practically oozing out of the bottle. So we have two popular brewers from very different parts of the country going up against each other, lets see how it went.

Tell us about it
This was very close, both Bocks are fantastic drinks. New Glarus Cabin Fever Honey Bock ends up with the win because the finish had a powerful edge over Shiner Bock. Shiner faded into obscurity after tasting and the Cabin Fever lingered, tickling the nostrils and teasing the taste buds for a few seconds. This was as close to a tie as they get, and both should fare well in this category moving forward.
