This is the kind of duel this site was made for – two incredible beers from two powerhouse breweries! Several of my friends have raved about beer from both of these brands, and I had the pleasure of sampling a number of Avery beers during a visit to the taproom at their location in Boulder, CO a few years ago. Needless to say, I was really looking forward to this one.

Ever since I laid eyes on Warpigs Lazurite IPA for the first time, I’d been looking forward to trying it. There’s something beautifully raw and primitive about the artwork on the can that caught my eye instantly. While the Lazurite’s taste did not disappoint, in this clash of titans, the Avery IPA came out on top. Smooth & delicious, it’s one of the of the best IPA’s I’ve had the pleasure of drinking.
